A number of our available pro seasons for SECOND SEASON Pro Football Game are presented in the original “team sheet” format from the game’s earlier origins. From 1996 to 2004, all seasons were offered in this format.
In the original "team sheet" presentation, teams are configured on plain white bond paper, in black ink. The players are identified by last name and first initial--this was a formatting issue based on the technology at the time, there wasn’t enough room to use full names without reducing the font size further. The sheets were designed so that the visiting team’s sheet was to be folded in half, and flip-flopped offense to defense when there’s a possession change.
The "team sheet" seasons do not include the optional finder columns for ball-carriers, pass receivers, return men, and so on, nor do they contain the optional team fumble and penalty ratings--these were options that came along in the mid 2000's.
The original "team sheet" seasons have mostly "sold through" over the years and thus don't merit the significant time investment required to re-work them in our current black and white team card and color PDF format combination. However, despite the differences in appearance, the ratings process used in calculating the player ratings for these team sheet sets is identical to the current process. You can expect these team sheets will perform with the game’s customary accuracy and realism. That's why we continue to offer them.
The following seasons are offered in the original team sheet format...
1960, 1967, 1968, 1974 WFL, 1978, 1984 USFL, 1994, 1999.
Additionally, the "Great Teams, Great Games" and "MORE Great Teams, Great Games" collections are also presented in the original team sheet format.
