Quick April News Update
There’s not enough news to do a "news stream," but we didn't want to wait until the next CONNECT (which is pencilled in for 04.16.26) to get some of these things out there...
PLAAY-Fest officially expanded to two days!
Now Friday AND Saturday, 06.19 and 06.20.26! Even better, Sam will be there! We'll have a couple of special guests to help with Friday's "old time" baseball theme!

Baxter & Hawley is the College Hoops PLAAY-Down National Champion!
As the real-life college tournament gets ready for its big finish this weekend, the PLAAY version of the festivities wrapped up last week with Baxter & Hawley upsetting top-ranked Texas National 60-49. The Raiders won with superior rebounding and a solid advantage in turnovers. B&H moved out to an early lead, but the Heroes rallied lated in the first half to grab a one-point lead going into the intermission. But the Raiders went on a 10-0 run mid-way through the second half to put the game out of reach. B&H Senior guard Caleb Love was the game’s high scorer with 15 points, sophomore forward T. J. Ayo gets the MVP award, with three steals, a pair of blocked shots, 13 points and eight rebounds.
• You can review all of the PLAAY-Down results here.
Congratulations to our Bracket Contest winner, Cory Highfield. Cory was one of ten entrants who got three of the final four correct, and had the earliest entry to win the PLAAY Games gift card. Interestingly, no one chose Baxter & Hawley to be the National Champion, although eight people chose them to win the Green Regional.
Thanks for following along!
College Hoops PLAAY-Down Corrected Cards Download
Now that the PLAAY-Down set has been out for a few weeks, we're pretty confident that all of the errata is in. Here's a downloadable file with all the fixes we're aware of. Specifically...
• We corrected Dillion Bailey's card for Chico State to have ARC and NET instead of ARC listed twice.
• There were a handful of uniform number duplications on some of the non-tournament team cards. We posted most of those in the April CONNECT, but we did find one more, Clearwater State had two players #32
• Panhandle State's coach has both clash/synch results on 11--we left that as-is, thinking a decider roll would add some fun drama.
• We fixed some minor color issues on a handful of player cards for Peach State and Maine State.
• We fixed the conference acronym for Penn Central and Roynell (TSAC instead of TCAC) and Northern North Dakota (PC instead of GW8).
The Greatest Two Minutes in Sports: Watch the Kentucky Derby at IndiCON!
Not sure what to call it--a Pre-PLAAY? Or should we call it a Pre-RAACE? Whatever. We'll run OUR version of the Derby on Saturday 04.11.26 at IndiCON, if you're going to be there please feel free to join the fun! I'll bring the PLAAY money and we'll see what unfolds. FYI, we'll offer the cards of the horses and jockeys (and the expanded gate board) as a freebie in the April CONNECT.
PLAAY at the RACES Unboxing, Launch Date
We're planning our preview unboxing and showcase for 04.16.26 on the PLAAY Space, giving you a first look (if you're not coming to IndiCON) at the new game materials and extras. We'd mentioned that the "sneak peek" would happen tonight (04.02.26) but unfortunately the super cool PLAAY at the RACES PLAAY mats have not yet arrived. (They're on the way, though...will definitely be here by the 16th)
We originally set 04.23.26 as the release date for this game but we MAY be able to launch a week early. If you're on the wait list, you'll be notified!
