Final Countdown to PLAAY Dot CON 2024!
It’s PLAAY-Dot-CON 2024, Wednesday 06.19.24 to Saturday 06.22.24 at the Hilton Garden Inn, Highlands Ranch, 1050 Plaza Dr, Highlands Ranch, CO 80126! We've put the finishing touches on the schedule of activities, there have been a few changes from the original plan we posted in February and updated in March. The entire schedule is posted below, but if you just want to know what's changed, here's the short list...
• CONFIRMED 06.18.24, we will have a dedicated game space at the hotel (Steamboat Room) for game-playing Thursday 10a to 10p.
• Changed the Saturday night "Grand Finale" organized activity to a Prime Time Hoops "Greatest of the Greatest" Championship Series.
• Expanded the Saturday baseball segment to include BOTH full-play History Maker Baseball AND "express," two different tournaments to be run simultaneously.
• Moved the Demo Derby Smash-Down event to the "Early Bird" get-together at Enchanted Grounds.
• Added Clay Dreslough (Season Ticket Baseball) to our Friday night panel discussion experts and Guest Designer Showcase (Season Ticket Football).
• Expanded the raffle to sixteen prizes.
Also, we are working on securing a dedicated game-playing space at the convention hotel for early-arrivers, Wednesday and Thursday. Details aren't yet finalized, but we should have some news soon!
If you're attending the convention, here are a few IMPORTANT things to keep in mind...
• If you're attending the Super Early Bird Meet-Up at Enchanted Grounds, remember: NO outside food or drink allowed, and please DON'T move around the tables and chairs inside the cafe/store--thanks!
• For the Thursday evening picnic at Redstone Park, NO glass containers are allowed in the park!
• The convention pick-up order code is active through Friday 06.21.24. If you can order earlier, that makes it easier for us to get everything together for you.
• We are still in need of a couple game hosts for the Friday morning "PLAAY around" segment. Let us know if you're willing to help!
• If you're planning/considering attending either the Wednesday evening or Thursday afternoon Rockies games at Coors Field, let us know so that we can help coordinate that.
We're excited to see everyone soon! We'll have 75 people at this year's convention, the most ever, from 21 states, three Canadian Provinces, Puerto Rico and our first international guest (United Kingdom)!
