It's the final "missing piece" of the RWBR Decades series, long overdue-- here come the 1960s for RED WHITE & BLUE RACIN' Stock Car Action Game!

As always, credit for this set belongs to PLAAY Gamer and NASCAR historian Jerry Minks, of Mountain City, TN. Jerry grew up around stock car racing and has a keen interest in the “good ol’ days” of the sport.

Having produced the Pioneers cards several years ago, we had a leg up on how to re-create the peculiarities of this era of racing. A series of special symbols and ratings are grafted into the driver and track cards for this set enabling you to experience what racin' in the '60s was all about: high mechanical failure attrition rate, a preponderance of short, dirt track races, and overall more aggressive driving.

The top stars of the era will show their stuff on your game table--Petty, Pearson, Jarrett, Gurney, White, Weatherly and all the rest! There are "early years" cards for many of the big stars of future decades, a couple of Indy car drivers (Andretti and Foyt) who gave stock car racing a shot, and a good number of historical figures that you'll get to know (if you don't know them already). Among them is Wendell Scott, the first African American stock car driver, who made his top-tier pro debut in 1961, and Don Tarr, the "World's Fastest Physician." Tarr was the first race car driver to be sponsored by Coca-Cola and the first announcer from his car during a race on ABC.

You get 54 drivers in all, plus bonus cards for Petty, Gurney and Pearson. Each driver is rated for his over-all performance through the 1960s, with car icons, numbers and sponsor colors that reflect the actual "look" of '60s stock car racing. Plus, 32 track cards re-creating venues big and small--From legendary Daytona to the State Fairgrounds Dirt Track--you'll experience every facet of vintage stock car racing, 1960s style!
