We’re excited to present another season of pro football action for SECOND SEASON Pro Football Game! The 2020 Pro Season team cards and PDF will be available July 16th, it’s the 22nd consecutive year that there’s been a new football release for our game.
There's no escaping the fact that 2020 was a VERY unusual pro football season. Full-contact games played in empty stadiums with fake crowd noise piped in, a constantly-changing schedule. Probably the pinnacle of the craziness was when Denver was forced to start a practice-squad wide receiver at quarterback when COVID protocols were violated 24 hours before kickoff. Ugh! We won't belabor the point, we just wanted to begin by acknowledging it and letting you know that our objective in creating this season was to make it as "normal" as possible. In other words, you should be able to enjoy this release with very few reminders of the havoc wreaked by the pandemic.
OF course, the lead story of the 2020 season—aside from the virus—was the relocation of TB12, the decorated veteran quarterback with six championship rings who was forced out of New England. When he relocated to Tampa Bay, there was much discussion about what kind of success he’d find. The 2020 season cemented his standing as the “Greatest of All Time,” one which ended with an unprecedented seventh championship ring.
Every chapter of the 2020 season—Brady and Beyond—can be re-lived in detail with the 2020 Pro Season for SECOND SEASON Pro Football Game. There was much that was interesting about the 2020 season, including the revitalization of the Cleveland and Miami clubs, Pittsburgh’s two seasons within the season (the spotless 11-0 start and 1-4 finish), the emergence of dynamic young quarterbacks in Buffalo and Arizona, and the swan songs of iconic veteran signal callers in New Orleans and Indianapolis. Los Angeles’ first-year QB lit up the league and won rookie of the year honors over Minnesota’s exciting rookie wide reciever. There were also heroic stories (coach’s health battle) from the Washington club which eked into the playoffs with an historically poor record, the end of coaching regimes in Atlanta, New York and Detroit, and so much more!
You get all 32 pro teams rated “three-deep” on offense and defense, each player with his own individual set of ratings. Want even MORE depth? You’ll also get over 150 additional “fringe players,” rated for their 2020 contribution. This list includes little-used players a step above the practice-squad as well as star-caliber veterans whose season was cut short by injury or illness.
You’ll also get a season summary containing all the pertinent numbers, an injury exemption list which will allow you to keep the league’s iron men on the field (there were fewer of them in 2020, by the way, due to COVID), and instant results grid that will allow you to generate game results with a single dice roll (perfect for keeping standings for everyone else while you full-play your favorite team), our annual introductory notes, and our annual College All-Star team, featuring the top collegiate players of 2020. It's a full season of tabletop football fun, for just $33 postage-paid (double-sided black and white printed team cards), or instantly download the full-color PDF edition for just $21 and print-and-play the same day!
