Welcome to the fourth season of the Basketball League of America for Highlight Maker Pro Hoops Game! We’re excited to have you join us (or, continue your journey) with your own personal pro basketball league experience.

We’ve again created two versions of the card set. The standard black-and-white version identifies the teams numerically, the number is found in the lower left corner of each card. This is for gamers who want to create their own team identities and/or move players around to form their own unique lineups. The color version adopts the approach we’ve used in our fictional football, baseball and soccer universes, where BLAM is an alternate pro hoops league to the real-life NBA. Thus, we’ve placed our franchises in cities which currently host professional sports--but not pro basketball. In some cases, these cities hosted teams in past years, in which case the color schemes we chose may reflect that cities past pro heritage. Other cities are new hoops territory.

As usual, there’ve been some changes in team fortune heading into the new season--we’ll let you discover them on your own! It’s important to note, though, that when we set up he BLAM’s inaugural card set we did so without assigning coaches to specific teams. Thus, any team can be made better or worse depending on who you name as the coach.

On the topic of coaches, there have been some changes in the BLAM coaching ranks for the new season (though fewer than in previous seasons). Jewell Hargrove and Gus McGowan are O-U-T, and their courtside folding chairs are now occupied by two new coaches--Chase Milewski and Fonzi Schwigg. The rest of the coaching roster remains the same, but their success ranges have been adjusted to reflect a new season of hoops action.

Many of the mainstay players from last year’s debut season are back again for another round of pro hoops excitement. Established BLAM stars like Xavier Etter, Solomon Threatt, Emmanuel Abdur-Rahim, Keeyan Brockington and Christian Henry are just a few examples. There are some blips on the radar screen, too--journeymen players who seem poised to have breakout seasons and known stars who might struggle this year. That’s part of the fun of following a pro league (or, in this case, running one!).

The 2025-26 rookie class is a bit less stellar than last year’s, but there will be some emerging stars. Specifically, you can expect Tank Rayer, DaMarco Witherspoon, Braxton Burries and Joe Salem to battle it out for your Rookie of the Year honors. We think you'll enjoy seeing these new stars establish themselves on your game table!

You get twelve players for each of the twelve league teams, in your choice of specific team cities and colors or “build your own league” black and white, and an additional eighteen free-agent players that can be added to any team. Half of them are “rookies” (entirely new players who were unable to make a BLAM squad after being drafted) and the other half are returning veteran “journeyman” type players, hoping to collect a few more game checks. The set also comes with eighteen coach cards and 32 referee cards.
