2025 Wrestling America Federation/Excess Entertainment Productions PDF

We update the "current" pro wrestling scene every other year, and once again—it's time! Presenting the 2025 Wrestling America Federation card set for FACE TO THE MAT Pro Wrestling Game!

The tone for this collection of wrestling stars was once again set earlier this year on our YouTube channel's "Commissioner's Edict" series! Each member of the federation had a sit-down with the commissioner to find out where they stood. Some were given fat contract extensions, others were shown the door--unceremoniously at times! Still others were forced to wrestle for the futures in "win-to-stay-in" feature matches. The 2025 WAF cards are based on that series of shows (archived on the PLAAY Games YouTube Channel), 72 wrestling characters upon which to build your weekly shows. Here's an overview of the set...

• Roster Changes. Some of the wrestlers included in the 2023 set have moved on, either forced out by injury, lured away by a competing federation (more on that in a moment), or simply had their contract terminated. Blast Bingaman, Kat Hatter, Barista Siobhan and The Roc were among those let go, just not enough heat being generated, nothing personal. "The Legend" Tony Casa Loma was told he's too old. Nestorenka and her husband Ruslan were deemed to be "over." Black Noise and Dolf Sigall were offered pay cuts--refused. Bray Watts wore out his welcome. These are some of the characters whom the WAF will have to replace in 2025. To take their places...

• NEW Wrestlers for 2023. We've introduced over two dozen all-new wrestlers in the 2025 WAF set! Among the newcomers are photogenic stars Brent Booterbaugh, Stevie Centeno, and the stunning Jill Baynes, known as "The Breakthrough." There's hulking Jeromy Joe, the mysterious muse-like Celeste, the chronically misunderstood Keven Seven, over-enthusiastic Tyree Strack and ruthless Val Vaden and his female counterpart Delma Wing. These are just a few of the new faces you'll get to know in the 2025 Wrestling America Federation cards for FACE TO THE MAT Pro Wrestling Board Game!

• Character Development. Just like in real pro wrestling, the WAF universe features evolving story-lines. Nuke Newsome has annoyed the commissioner with out-spoken comments, and is on a short leash. Unapologetic is simmering over criticism by "the front office," expect this to come to a head during your season (we've created a special scenario that you can implement to make that happen). Chris Babylon was about to have his contract terminated--until fans stepped in and lobbied for his retention. Several established stars have taken on new personas: The Mortician has a new "motorcycle gang" schtick, Rogan has been "re-invented" ("Rogan 2.0") and The Biz is now known as Biz Slash Cash. Emily Annunziato is now known as "Havoc Your Way," and she sure does deliver it! The table is set for Hearthrob Ricky Romance and Kyler Bass to make FACE turns, while Danny McNeel (now known as 4WD) shifts into heel territory. Two former jobbers earned enough fan approval to be given legitimate title shots, R-Phenomenal (formerly the Missing Piece) and Dynamo Jones (formerly Express Delivery Jones). Those are just a few of the many character twists found in this new card set.

• New Rival Federation! The Commissioner's Edict show generated rumblings among FTTM fans that some of the wrestlers whose contracts were terminated, or who were insulted by the commissioner's opinion of their abilities, might defect to a new federation. That's how Excess Entertainment Productions Wrestling (XSE for short) was born! This new federation includes talented young pros like Black Noise, Brielle Vigorous and Chopper A, whose stars rose and fell rapidly in the WAF, along with veteran WAF stars like Beaulah Roy, Dolf Signall, Super Stinger and The Legend. There are even some familiar names from earlier WAF sets who have resurfaced with this new outfit, characters like Mr. Henderson, Alberto Del Sol and All Beef (formerly All Meat) Patty Gutschall.
