Let the Pro Football Fury begin! This card set features all 32 real-life pro league teams fitted out for our “alt-sport strategy game,” Fury Football. The cards are projected ahead to the UPCOMING 2026 pro season, and include the big off-season signings, trades and top draft choices. We’ve pored over the expert projections and chosen sixteen players for each club--eight on offense, eight on defense. (For those who'd like more depth, we've created a subset of 200+ additional players, 2 to 8 for each team! It’s available as a free download, or purchase printed cards with your standard set.) We then “furiously” translated those numbers for our game, resulting in a very cool and very unique “Madden-esque” card set that will let you enjoy the ongoing pro season as it unfolds in “fury fashion” on your tabletop!
We’ve made this set a little less “furious” and a bit more traditional in appearance and execution than our fictional fury sets. Players are platoon-specific for this set--offense players are wearing the colored jerseys, defense players are wearing the white jerseys. The players are positioned on the cards so that the offense and defense players are facing each other, which makes a nice visual of a football game. NEW this year, we’ve added actual player numbers to the cards as well as stripes to player helmets for teams that use them (both absent last year). We've removed the “rotisserie league” ratings from last year’s cards and put position designations in that space.
We’ve also continued with our more traditional approach in the nomenclature for the player positions. We opted for “quarterback” (QB) instead of “star back” (SB). The same rules apply for quarterbacks as star backs: only one QB can play on offense, and they must play in position box 12. We’ve listed the other players by traditional position names as well: wide receivers (WR), tight ends (TE) running backs (RB), offensive linemen (G, T, C or in some cases OL), defensive backs (CB, S or DB), linebackers (LB) and defensive linemen (DE or DT). On defense, you must play at least one DB and one DL. On offense, you must play at least two OL. Players can occupy any box, except for quarterbacks who must be in box 12. NEW this year, we’ve re-configured the PASS ratings for running backs (RB), so that in the event of an injury to the quarterback, you can play a RB in box 12. Quarterbacks may ONLY play in box 12, but running backs can play in ANY offensive box, INCLUDING box 12.
This set is perfect for head-to-head play, but (knowing our audience) it’s designed with solo play in mind. (That’s why we oriented the defense cards the way we did!) Set up your OWN Pro League FURY world, and enjoy the game! Call the shots yourself vs. the standard AI offense and defense, or bring into play the coach cards that come with your set, which let you watch as a spectator while the game basically plays itself!
However you play, we promise that there’ll be NO shortage of memorable plays and “furious” individual performances! Fury Football is sort of like “espresso football,” compact, powerful, flavorful and memorable!
