Every four years, the world's most prestigious soccer event happens and everyone in the world becomes a football fan! This year's competition will be held at a multitude of locations scattered across the continent of North America with 48 teams from all over the globe squaring off for the title of World Champion! But—how would you like to be able to conduct your OWN World Cup, before the real thing happens? Well, this year, you'll be able to! Announcing the 2026 World Football Projection Set for SOCCER BLAST! All 48 Cup teams, rated on recent historical performance in a fresh, new, card design that celebrates the global football experience!
This commemorative card set is digitally printed in vibrant, tournament-themed colors, featuring all the pertinent game data and an image of each nation's flag. The player ratings were created by international soccer fanatic John Bergeron. John was the architect of the fabulous 2022 card set and we commissioned him last year to reprise that role for this year's event. Our goal was to have the cards on people's game tables well before the actual games begin. So now, when soccer mania grips the globe (as it always does during this event), you'll be able to play along on your own game table!
The 2026 World Soccer Projection Set includes 16 players for each of the 48 competing teams—that's over 800 players in all. Each player's card is designed to replicate his actual abilities on the pitch. The cards will include a usage rating to give you an idea of how the players are likely to be used in real-life competition, but you're free to arrange your line-ups however you wish! Re-arrange the brackets, too, if you like—with SOCCER BLAST, YOU'RE in charge as the world soccer czar!
We’re also including a dozen blank player cards, so you can rate and add players who we might miss (as this is a projection set, our production deadline makes it impossible to keep tabs on late-breaking roster changes).
For fans who want to maximize the experience, we’re offering a subset of extra players, three fielders and a keeper for each of the 48 teams, bringing the total player count to over 1000!
Each team is also given a "team quick-play" card for use with our soccer Instant Results table, which will allow you to quick play tournament games—and generate final scores—with a single dice roll! You can play the entire group stage round this way and quickly determine your final sixteen. Or, your final four, or two! Quick-play as much or as little as you like, the Instant Results mode assures that you'll get more game time with the match-ups that interest you!
