Aside from giving you a wider variety in your race programs, this expansion set can be used in a number of other ways. One idea would be to use the cards to represent a different, separate racing entity--sort of an "east coast/west coast" thing. The base set could represent one specific geographical track, this expansion could represent another. In this configuration, you'd keep the horses and jockeys separate, with perhaps a best-of-the-best "Derby" race to conclude or highlight your season project.

In any case, the general feel of racing with this set will be similar in nature to the base set. The horse BET ratings are the same descending order, 1 through 96. This expansion set is roughly the same overall strength as the base game's set.
