Coming Soon: Draft Duel and Myth Mash
Well folks, it’s finally happening. On October 18th we’ll be going live with our first ever mass-produced games: Draft Duel and Myth Mash. And while the box might say “Studio Sp1cy,” this is really a momentous occasion for all of PLAAY Games.
If you were here for last year’s holiday sale, you probably remember Draft Duel Football. This updated version features several new players, a streamlined ruleset, and, of course, a big upgrade to the component quality. These things are truly top-notch!
Similarly, if you’ve been in the PLAAY news loop lately, you’ve probably heard of Myth Mash as well. This is the first game I can truly put my name on as a designer, and I couldn’t be happier with the final product. If you’re a fan of deck-building, bidding and bluffing, or two-player games in general, I think you’ll really love what’s in store here.
Both Draft Duel and Myth Mash will be available in two places: right here on PLAAY.com, as well as on the Studio Sp1cy website, Sp1cy.com. Feel free to pick them up wherever you’d like; it all goes to the same place at the end of the day. Although, if you haven’t checked out Sp1cy.com yet, I’d encourage you to give it a look! There’s a number of freebies on the “DEMOS” page for you to download and try out, if that’s your kind of thing.

On a final note, we’re looking at the production of these games as an experiment, testing the waters of what’s possible for PLAAY in the future. We know that every success we’ve enjoyed so far has only been possible thanks to the support of our amazing community.
