TONIGHT: BLAM Hoops Mid-Season Review and All-Star Game!

In keeping with the mid-season release of the new 2024-25 season cards for our fictional Basketball League of America, we're presenting a mid-season roster review of all the BLAM teams, zeroing in on player movement, key rookies and overall team improvement or decline. That'll get you up to speed on the new season, and THEN we'll conclude the broadcast with the 2025 BLAM All-Star Game! The biggest stars, East vs. West, in what's sure to be a high-scoring, fast-moving shootout! Join us at 6pm MST (8pm EST) on the PLAAY Games YouTube channel!

PLAAY-Dot-CON 2025 Update…

LOTS of exciting news about this year's CON!...

First, we're pleased to announce that another of the hobby's familiar faces is going to be at this year's convention: Kurt Bergland from “Kurt Berland's Baseball World” YouTube channel will be joining us as a special guest! He'll be hosting a Friday night History Maker Baseball segment and sharing his thoughts during our Saturday "brown bag lunch" panel discussion on sports game social media.

Dave Gardner (Digital 2 Dice Podcast) will be our keynote speaker, talking about his early interest in the sports game hobby and how it blossomed into a podcast, YouTube channel and this year his own convention! (Plus, we’re hoping he’ll emcee our hockey tournament!)

We've just put the finishing touches on our proposed convention schedule, it's posted here. Among the highlights: a gigantic fishin' tournament, a new custom course for the annual golf tournament, a first-ever "PAST vs. FUTURE" twist on the annual Time Machine Tournament, and a brand-new re-boot of our fictional hockey series with a full-blown tournament to determine the champion.

We have table space to accommodate 80 people playing games at the same time, but there are only eight seats left!

Dice Tower West PLAAY Gamer Open Golf Tournament

PLAAY Games will again be a part of the incredible Dice Tower West board game convention in Las Vegas, and we'll be hosting the third annual Dice Tower West PLAAY Gamer Open Golf Tournament with History Maker Golf! Once again, PLAAY gamers will serve as "caddies" for their choice of All-Time Great Golfers, eighteen holes at the "deluxe" Pebble Beach course we created for last year's PLAAY-Dot-CON. Tee time will be 2pm on 03.08.25, at the Westgate Resort and Casino in fabulous Las Vegas! If you're planning to be at Dice Tower West, come join us for an unforgettable round of golf!

PLAAY Games “On The Road” in 2025

In case you missed it, we made a blog post a couple weeks ago highlighting the numerous live events PLAAY Games is going to be part of first half of 2025. Dice Tower West and PLAAY-Dot-CON is only HALF the fun! We'll also be at ST Patrick's Indie-CON 2025 in Auburn IN and Dave Gardner's "Digital 2 Dice Con" in Preston, CT.

In thinking about what I'm going to do on these road trips, I've come up with an idea: I'm currently in the middle of a full-season play-through of the 1974 Southern California Sun, World Football League, with Second Season Football. I'm looking for people who'd like to take on the Sun, coaching the opposing team, live, head-to-head, in-person. I already have one game scheduled in Connecticut, and am looking for more, both there and in Indiana. So if you're planning to attend either of the two aforementioned events and would like to go head-to-head with some tabletop football action, let me know!

We'll play the game with "express" and switch to full-play for the final five minutes if the game is close! Afterward, you can download the teams and pre-PLAAY the game yourself!

• 02.13.25 SCRAM Season Opener LIVE from the MotorDome: Always a fun stream, as we kick off the new SCRAM season with the annual Ice Brew 600 inside the Northern Lights MotorDome ! Won't be long before it's Opening Day again! We'll have updates for both the real-life and fictional baseball universes in the coming weeks. Watch first for our annual Baseball America Training Camp Tour and exhibition game series in early March, where we'll go over each team's outlook for the new season and see all twelve teams in action for their exhibition season finale. Then, a couple weeks later, we'll release the 2024 Pro Season cards to kick off Opening Day in real-life AND on the game table!
